La Praline line produces another winner in Hong Kong

It was another proud moment for Koru Thoroughbreds – and for AHA Racing – as Glorious Journey, bred by Kevin and Julie Taylor of Koru, stormed home for a dominant win at the Hong Kong Jockey Club on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.

Racing in Race 7 – the Caroline Hill Handicap (Class 4, 1650m Turf), Glorious Journey jumped quietly and settled near the rear of the field. Still well back with 550m to go, he was forced wide on the turn — seven wide, in fact — before letting down with a powerful finish. By the 150m mark, he’d surged to the lead, pulling away with ease to win by 1.5 lengths, easing down at the line.

This latest win highlights the exceptional strike rate of Koru’s breeding programme – 206 wins from just 85 horses bred – and it’s particularly exciting for AHA Racing owners, as Glorious Journey is a half-brother to two of our very own winners:

All three are by the same dam, La Praline, who is owned by our exclusive breeders and partners at Koru. With consistent results across multiple progeny, it’s clear La Praline is a producer of quality – and our Group Owners are reaping the rewards.

AHA Racing Group Ownerships are currently enjoying an almost unbelievable 80% winners-to-runners strike rate from horses bred exclusively by Koru.
