Following a brief freshen-up after his impressive maiden win at Kembla Grange, Vin Santo returned to the track last week (Oct 30th) in Race 4 at Wyong – the Evolt – Thorn Lighting – Prysmian CG&E Class 1 Handicap (1200m) – and once again showed his competitive spirit.
After missing the jump by several lengths, Vin Santo had to work hard throughout the race to regain ground. Despite the early setback, he ran on powerfully through the final stages to finish a determined third, clearly full of running at the line.
It was a strong performance under the circumstances and a great sign for his next start.
Vin Santo is expected to race again in approximately two weeks, and with this run under his belt, he looks a genuine chance to secure his second win.
