From barrier 6 she jumped nicely and went to the front early travelling in heavy ground with 60kg on her back racing against mature geldings… a big task. She was well positioned on the turn but pushed wide by the inside horse before straightening and going hard all the way to the post only to lose by .20 of a length to a 7-year-old gelding who had the run of the race. Had she not been pushed wide she would have won with 60kg on board… As they say “that’s racing” … but we’re super proud of our small, very tough mare.
Keep watching out for her… we think she’s a stakes winner in waiting for 2026.
